CAD / 3D Printing - All Day

In this day long workshop (make sure you sign up for both sessions) you will learn how to draw 3D objects using CAD software and how to print your designs using a 3D Printer.

In the morning session, students will learn the basic features of SketchUp, a free CAD program that can be downloaded to your laptop here.

In the afternoon session, students will learn how to export their 3D drawings from SketchUp to a file that can be read by the school's new MakerBot Replicator 3D printer. We will discuss the history and growth of this industry and the limitations of 3D printing, as well as print our own creations.

Please bring your laptop with the SketchUp software installed, a 3-button mouse, and mousepad to both sessions.
